Tips On Car Care During Rainy Season.

by | Mar 30, 2022 | 0 comments

The recent flooding in some areas in Queensland and Sydney’s northern coast has again challenged many. Many houses were damaged and vehicles that submerged in floodwater were surely unrepairable.

While today’s modern car is equipped with technology that can detect danger, a sudden rise in water level is not one of them. While most of the potential factor that can damage your car is controllable; incident such as sudden flooding may be tricky. Some vehicles’ irreversible damage is caused by rainwater; what seems to be just rain can cause long-term mould formation, corrosion, and mechanical damage.

Let’s eliminate some factors that may lead to this irreversible vehicle malfunction or deterioration.

Here’s what you can do to avoid water damage:

1. Take no delay in addressing any fluid dripping. In any sign of fluid entry to your car, like in the lining of the window or door, have it sealed, or have the rubber trimming replaced right away. This can cause rusting on your car door, and repairs can be more costly later on.

2. Invest in good rubber floor mats. We cannot avoid water entry even in minimal quantity to enter our car. Like drippings from umbrellas, or your feet upon entering your car during heavy rain. A rubber floor mat will save you from interior flooring overhaul later on.

3. Get a GPS. Be informed and stay informed of the weather forecast daily. In case there is rain, avoid flooded areas. And GPS can help you navigate through roads that are unfamiliar.

4. Headlights and taillights occasional alignment.

Headlights same as taillights are the list we think

about until it’s no longer working. In moments

of rain, visibility is vital. Better have it checked,

especially when the rainy season is fast

approaching.

5. Mudguard. This simple addition to

your car will shield your vehicle and

prevent mud or debris from getting into

the sensitive areas of your car.
